Guys from “Dot Net Perls” made a great job to inspect, understand and compare different web browsers memory usage and managment in a “Real-World/Real-User” session of several hours browsing.
They built a thin software that watch the memory usage of any windows task every 3 seconds and store the value in a grid.
They compared: FireFox 3, Internet Explorer 8, Opera 9.5, Safari 3.1 and Flock 1.2 (based on FireFox 2). Read more…
